‘Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t’: Amira Hondras, 12, is the 1st girl selected to the White Sox ACE program

Hondras, 12, became the first girl in the 13-year history of the Chicago White Sox’s Amateur City Elite travel program. ACE was created to provide travel baseball opportunities for under-resourced Chicago communities and increase participation in the sport among African American youth.

Hondras, a utility player who can pitch and catch, was selected to the 12-and-under team.
