Danny Farquhar, who had brain hemorrhage during April game, released by White Sox

The White Sox have released right-handed pitcher Danny Farquhar, outfielder Ryan LaMarre and right-hander Rob Scahill to Class AAA Charlotte.

All three will become minor-league free agents after the World Series.

On April 20, Farquhar collapsed in the dugout shortly after he had faced four Astros hitters in the sixth inning. It initially appeared he might have suffered a seizure, but he was unresponsive, requiring oxygen as he was being placed on a gurney and wheeled away by the EMT crew that took him to the hospital for emergency surgery.
