Danny Farquhar describes his life-threatening brain hemorrhage: 'I had a few doctors call me a miracle'

White Sox reliever Danny Farquhar spoke publicly for the first time since suffering a life-threatening brain hemorrhage on April 20, describing the moment and his recovery.

“I had a few doctors call me a miracle and (tell me) how lucky I am to be as functional as I am,” he told “Good Morning America” reporter Paula Faris on Friday morning.

Farquhar spoke to “GMA” in advance of his first public appearance tonight — he’ll throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the White Sox-Brewers game at Guaranteed Rate Field and hold a press conference with his wife, Lexie, afterwards.
