Ken Williams has heard the talk before about how baseball — and society — needs to address racial imbalance when it comes to opportunities for leadership positions on down.

The two Chicago baseball executives mostly repeated things they’ve said elsewhere since the killing of George Floyd and a string of other incidents led to nationwide demonstrations and introspection concerning systemic racism.
