The Chicago White Sox managed to win three of five in Cleveland and then take the makeup game on Monday against the Detroit Tigers. That really helped them go into the playoffs with a much better-looking road record. They finish the 2021 season with a 40-41 record away from Guaranteed Rate Field.
It doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things as long as they are in the playoffs but nobody wants to have a bad record on the road. It is hard to win away from home and it is the sign of a good team if they can.
