Chicago White Sox second baseman Nick Madrigal exits with right hamstring soreness in a 6-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays

Chicago White Sox second baseman Nick Madrigal exited with right hamstring soreness during Wednesday’s 6-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Madrigal suffered the injury trying to beat out a grounder in the seventh inning. He went to the ground in the outfield grass after crossing first base and had to be helped off the field.

But the Blue Jays scored three runs in the eighth against the Sox bullpen. Toronto loaded the bases with one out via a dropped third strike, an infield hit and a single to right. Aaron Bummer then walked Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
