Chicago White Sox score 5 runs in the 8th inning for a 6-1 victory against the Toronto Blue Jays

Andrew Vaughn tied Tuesday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays with a solo home run in the seventh inning, and the rookie left fielder put the Chicago White Sox ahead one inning later with a sacrifice fly to deep center, scoring José Abreu.

That was the first of five eighth-inning runs for the Sox on the way to a 6-1 victory in front of 12,761 at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Carlos Rodón kept the Sox close early, allowing one run on six hits with eight strikeouts and two walks in five tough innings. Blue Jays starter Robbie Ray allowed one run on five hits with 13 strikeouts in 6u2153 innings.
