The Chicago White Sox rookie went on the injured list Thursday in compliance with Major League Baseball’s COVID-19 protocols. He returned to left field before Saturday’s game against the Detroit Tigers at Guaranteed Rate Field.
“I got the vaccine, I actually had (COVID) last December,” Vaughn said during a conference call. “There was a lot of hope that it was just a false positive, which (it) ended up being. I took five tests two days ago, and all of them came back negative. So it was all good.
Allergies sidelined him earlier this week when he missed Monday’s doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field, but Vaughn did play Tuesday.
