The team’s most recent list of upcoming starters had Tuesday’s game as “to be determined” with Dallas Keuchel in line for Wednesday and Reynaldo López on Thursday.
Lambert has appeared in three games (two starts) during three stints with the Sox this season, going 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA and eight strikeouts in eight innings. He is 3-3 with a 4.98 ERA and 78 strikeouts in 18 starts with the Knights.
In the corresponding move, the Sox optioned Matt Foster to Charlotte. Foster is 2-1 with a 6.06 ERA, one save, two holds and 39 strikeouts in 33 relief outings during four stints with the Sox in 2021.
