Lakeview couple Meredith Burlew and Andrew McDonald missed going to Chicago White Sox games in 2020, when the pandemic kept fans from baseball stadiums.
They usually take in nearly 20 games a season, so they were excited to get back to the ballpark April 11 when the Sox played the Kansas City Royals at Guaranteed Rate Field.
“It was the first public event I had been to in a year,” McDonald said. “It was funny, you don’t know what to expect. It was quite a bit different to go into a different gate and sit in different places.
