Andrew Vaughn’s 2-Run Homer Boosts White Sox to Win Over Yankees

Dylan Cease made his 24th start of the season for the White Sox, coming on to the mound strong with 2 strikeouts in the top of the first inning.

In the second inning, Cease made a barehanded throw to get the third out at first. The White Sox offense struck first with a 2-run home run from Andrew Vaughn to give the White Sox a 2–0 lead.

Cease continued his impressive outing, allowing only 1 hit through 5.1 innings and notching 6 strikeouts before handing the ball over to Brent Honeywell.

Vaughn displayed an impressive defensive front with a sliding out at first base to get Yankees right fielder, Jake Bauers, in the top of the sixth inning.
