The outfielder spent three seasons with the Chicago White Sox before being traded to the Washington Nationals in December 2016 for a package that included pitcher Lucas Giolito.
Eaton returned to the Sox this offseason, signing a one-year deal as a free agent. And he had at least one hit in three of his first four games entering Tuesday night’s game against the Mariners in Seattle.
“I always would have liked to have come back and play again for the Sox,” Eaton said before Tuesday’s game. “To be able to make that a reality is pretty cool.
