With no minor leagues because of the pandemic, Crochet gained tips and experience at the Schaumburg training facility. He was called up and participated in his first game as a professional Friday at the major-league level.
“I definitely didn’t expect it to go this way, but being out of competitive baseball for that long and being able to jump back in at the major-league level was awesome,” Crochet said Friday.
