Everything was working for Reynaldo Lopez in a March 8 Cactus League start against the San Diego Padres. The Chicago White Sox pitcher allowed five hits and struck out five in 4u2153 scoreless innings in Peoria, Ariz.
Lopez has been gearing back up for the start of the season with his teammates at summer camp at Guaranteed Rate Field. The right-hander is scheduled to pitch Saturday in an intrasquad game.
“I was ready for the season to start,” Lopez said through an interpreter during a conference call Tuesday. “But suddenly, the break came, it’s something we really couldn’t control.
