Well, it took eight rounds to get our first curious result, with Gavin Sheets skyrocketing from eighth place, with 10 votes, to the win, at 29% (136 of 472 votes). Sheets’ win as the No. 8 poll prospect wasn’t decisive, per se, but it was a 25-vote win over Norge Vera, so not too tight, either.
Last year, Sheets finished as our No. 9 prospect in the vote.
In the 2020 poll, Luis Basabe finished eighth, with 32% of the vote.
