Change has been an early theme for the Giants this offseason. The organization has restructured a significant portion of the big league coaching staff and has named David Bell the new vice president or player development.
The Giants will begin working on changes to their 40-man roster in earnest as soon as the World Series concludes. Last week, I looked at two directions the Giants’ offseason might take. Regardless of whether the Giants choose to reload or rebuild, they will be looking to improve their overall depth.
Some of that 40-man roster work will take place at the end of next month, when the Giants add prospects to their roster to protect them from the Rule 5 Draft.
