Wheeler: A comprehensive review of the first-place Toronto Marlies' recent play

On Wednesday night, the Marlies played their 10th game of the season.

After they began the year 2-0, I recapped the performances of each of the team's players. Now 7-3, I'll review the first-place Marlies' last eight games and look back at the progression of every player on the roster.

Because the Marlies lineup has remained largely the same other than the additions of Martin Marincin and Calle Rosen, this analysis will once again be broken down into lines in order to provide the proper context for evaluation.

The Forwards

Rychel – Aaltonen – Kapanen/Johnsson

After picking up a goal in each of the Marlies' first two games, Kerby Rychel has been quiet at even strength on the Marlies' first line, where he has remained despite adding just two lone assists in the eight games since.
