Participating in MLS's annual elite youth tournament for U-17 academy teams, the Chicago Fire U-16 Academy side faced two MLS opponents over the weekend at the 2016 Generation adidas Cup in Frisco, Texas.
The U-16s opened tournament play with a 1-0 win over Seattle Sounders FC on March 17, courtesy of a 27th-minute goal by Christian Marquez. In Sunday's second match, the Fire fell 3-1 to Orlando City SC.
The U-16s (1-1-0, 3 points) conclude Group B play against group-leading Chivas de Guadalajara (2-0-0, 6 points) at 12 p.m. CT Tuesday (March 22). The match will be available via live webstream in the video player above.
