Ten-Man Chicago Fire Drops Hard Fought 3-2 Loss to Portland, Remains Three Points Away From Playoff Spot

PORTLAND, Ore. (Aug. 14, 2019) – Remaining within three points of a playoff position, a ten-man Chicago Fire (7-11-9, 30 points) dropped a hard fought contest, 3-2, on the road versus the Portland Timbers (11-9-4, 37 points) on Wednesday night at Providence Park. The loss ended a three game unbeaten streak in league play.
