The future looks bright for one team that took the Alumni Stadium field Friday, and it is not the one that has had five consecutive top-ranked recruiting classes in the ACC.
Boston College is the only FBS school to have a freshman leading its team in passing, rushing and receiving. Boston College has also averaged out to have the ACC’s 13th-best recruiting class across the past five years, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
That did not matter in a 35-3 domination of Florida State, a game that showcased some of the surprising bursts from the Eagles’ young pups while underscoring the dysfunction that is the 2017 Seminoles’ season.
