MLB Network’s Brian Kenny could not bully New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi into starting reliever Chad Green in the American League wild-card game, with the idea of saving ace right-hander Luis Severino for Game 1 of the Division Series; Girardi, speaking to reporters, rejected the idea out of hand.
