LONDON — The Browns came to England and didn’t embarrass themselves. These days, it’s about as much as you can ask from this undermanned outfit.
Kenny Britt caused no international stir while playing as many snaps as Queen Elizabeth II. DeShone Kizer threw his first complete game since Oct. 1 and didn’t commit a turnover.
The Browns played hard. They held three leads. And when it was over they still lost by 17 points to an opponent with Case Keenum as its quarterback.
Final score: Vikings 33, Browns 16.
The standard for the winless Browns has dropped so dramatically that Sunday’s effort at Twickenham Stadium falls into the “well, it could have been worse” category.
