One month and a dozen games into the season there are some reasons for optimism regarding the 2017-18 San Jose Sharks.
The club shook off its rough 0-2 start, steadily built its game during a five-game road trip, and is coming off of a pair of impressive and complete efforts against the Toronto Maple Leafs and Nashville Predators. The Sharks will bring a season-high three-game winning streak into Saturday’s home game against the rival Anaheim Ducks, which is followed by next Wednesday’s meeting with the league-leading Tampa Bay Lightning.
There isn’t much that’s happened that has been overly surprising, as the Sharks have skated to a 7-5-0 record.
