The Sixers fell to 0-2 on the season when they let a big third quarter lead slip away against the visiting Celtics Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
The Sixers held a 65-56 lead after Joel Embiid made a layup with 4:35 left in the third quarter, putting Brett Brown's team in position to pull out a win in their home opener. They then allowed the Celtics to shoot 14-for-26 and score 46 points, while going minus-5 in the turnover battle over the remaining 16-plus minutes of play.
The performance of the referees received a lot of attention, and there were certainly a fair number of questionable calls.
