PFF: Lions must find ways to contain Panthers' Christian McCaffrey

By Josh Liskiewitz
After losing Super Bowl LI to the Denver Broncos, the Carolina Panthers took a large step backward in 2016, finishing just 6-10. One of the clear, glaring issues for the offense last season was a lack of speed and dynamic playmaking ability outside of the inconsistent Ted Ginn. Ginn departed via free agency in March, thus opening the door for Carolina to address the need through the draft. The Panthers wasted little time doing so, as their first- and second-round picks were spent on Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey and Ohio State running back-turned-wide receiver Curtis Samuel.
