He’s suffered three concussions — that we know of — and understands the risks and horrors of CTE, the brain injury feared by everyone in his line of work, but he puts his body on the line each week without complaint. Recently, he was forced into a job change, and though the reasons might not make complete sense to him, he graciously did as he was told, without objection, because he’s been taught that those who have been around longer sometimes know what’s better.
He’s chosen an occupation where time is the enemy, so he embraces each shift with zest.
