Nuggets from my notebook following the Bulls’ 105-83 win at Orlando

Who saw that coming?…

1. Orlando played without starting point guard Elfrid Payton and backup point guard and former Bull D.J. Augustin. That must be stated first and foremost, because everything that follows perhaps needs to be viewed through that prism.

2. The Magic came in ranked second in the league in points per game and field-goal percentage at 114.9 and 48.9 percent, respectively. They also ranked second in points per 100 possessions (109.9), effective field-goal percentage (56.3) and true-shooting percentage (59.6).

3. By the time the Bulls were finished with them, the Magic not only scored just 83 points, but they also were held to just 40.
