After registering his first MLS hat trick in Sunday's 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Philadelphia Union, Chicago Fire forward Nemanja Nikolic has been selected to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 32.
Nikolic picked up his 22nd, 23rd, and 24th goals of the season, extending his Golden Boot contention to three goals over Portland's Diego Valeri (21) with one match remaining. Nikolic opened scoring in the game's third minute, and helped the Fire charge back with a second half brace.
Also representing the Fire is rookie midfielder Djordje Mihailovic, who was selected to the Team of the Week bench after a stout two-way performance in his sixth start and 16 appearance overall in 2017.
