More beyond the score: Yeo says Schwartz has the stuff of Selke trophies

Blues 3, Rangers 1

NEW YORK – The Blues were playing their third game in four days Tuesday against the New York Rangers and needed someone to make a play and set the tone early to avoid one of those tired-leg games.

Is 15 seconds early enough?

New York Rangers defenseman Brady Skjei attempted to pass a puck up out of the defensive zone, but it went off the skate of teammate Michael Grabner. The Blues' Jaden Schwartz pounced on it, curled in a circle and then sent a backhanded pass to Carl Gunnarsson, who beat goalie Henrik Lundqvist for a quick strike.
