The match was the first for the U.S. U-23s at the United International Football Festival, a four-team tournament played from Nov. 14-17 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
Mihailoviu0107 put in an 85-minute shift on the day, before being relieved by Hobro IK's Emmanuel Sabbi. Matheus Cunha provided the difference-making goal for Brazil in the 15th minute. The U.S. will next play their counterparts from either Argentina or Chile on Sunday, Nov.
