Trying to figure out how the 2017-18 Montreal Canadiens might perform on the ice – in the aftermath of the biggest (for now) mass shooting in U.S. history followed by the death of rock icon Tom Petty – seems like an exercise in futility.
But that’s why we’re here.
So here’s one observer’s attempt to project how the Habs will shake out this season, beyond the fact that they appear to be a good but not great team.
Playoffs? Did you say playoffs? Did you say you don’t think they’ll get into the playoffs? Because Eastern Conference non-playoff teams from a season ago improved but it’s highly debatable if the Habs did?
