Matt Murray sat by his locker on Friday afternoon at the Penguins' practice facility, arms folded, observing his fellow defending Stanley Cup champions.
The man who has never lost a Stanley Cup playoff series — he's the first goaltender in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup twice while still technically a rookie — then made a comment that should make the rest of the league shiver.
“I feel like I have a lot more to give,” he said in a notably matter-of-fact tone.
He wasn't finished.
Murray has an interesting habit of rarely blaming himself when the Penguins lose.
