Match Report: Fire fall at home to Toronto FC, 2-1

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (July 21, 2018) – The Chicago Fire fell by a 2-1 score to defending MLS Cup champion Toronto FC Saturday at Toyota Park in an Eastern Conference matchup.

Sebastian Giovinco opened scoring for Toronto in the 47th minute with his right-footed shot from inside the box.

The Fire equalized in the 62nd after a clever set-piece goal. Aleksandar Katai’s free kick found Raheem Edwards on the far post. Making his first appearance for the Men In Red and facing his hometown club, Edwards headed it down for Nemanja Nikoliu0107 to volley into goal for his team-leading 10th league goal of the season.
