BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (July 18, 2018) – The Chicago Fire advanced to their record 13th Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinal with a 4-0 win over Louisville City FC Wednesday evening at Toyota Park.
Nemanja Nikoliu0107 opened scoring with his header in the 16th minute and Aleksandar Katai doubled the lead with his right-footed blast in the 32nd minute to give the Fire a 2-0 advantage before halftime.
Rookie Diego Campos added to the lead in the 90th minute when he stripped the ball off Louisville’s goalkeeper Tim Dobrowolski and tapped it into the goal.
