Kappelhof Survives Car Crash

Chicago Fire defender Johan Kappelhof is doing well after surviving a car crash earlier today.

The incident happened around 9:30am this morning on South Harlem Avenue near Toyota Park. While en route to team practice, Kappelhof’s car was hit by a U-Haul truck. The truck hit a second vehicle, forcing it to roll over, before fleeing the scene.

Kappelhof was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released. The club noted in a statement that Kap reported to training later in the day.

Another individual in the other car struck was also taken to the hospital and is reported to be in good condition.
