The hero had already slipped through the side door of the Ohio Stadium postgame media room after Ohio State's dramatic, come-from-behind win over Penn State when Ohio State's sports information director interrupted the ongoing interviews to bring everyone this message: “The 16 consecutive completions J.T. Barrett had tonight is a new school record.”
In the back corner of the room, K.J. Hill let out a big “Psshhhht” and rolled his eyes. Then he shook his head. Then he laughed. All of it was a subconscious reaction, but he explained why it happened.
“People didn't respect him a month ago,” Hill said of Barrett.
