Holy Cow, Part III: October-bound Cubs clinch another playoff berth

ST. LOUIS – Clinching wasn’t going to be a walk in the park for these 2017 Cubs.
The Cubs were nearly able to do it on Tuesday night, but their comeback fell a run short. They were scoreless and trailing by a run going into the seventh inning Wednesday and that's when they took destiny into their own hands.
The Cubs scored five runs in the seventh, made a winner out of John Lackey, starting possibly his last game for the Cubs and in the majors, and beat St. Louis 5-1 to win their second consecutive NL Central title and make their third straight postseason for the first time since 1906-08.
