Bruce Arena made six changes to his active U.S. Men's National Team roster Sunday following the group stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, but Fire midfielder Dax McCarty was not one of them.
McCarty is now set to remain with the U.S. for the duration of its stay in the regional tournament as Arena's side looks to reclaim the Gold Cup trophy. The midfielder started two group stage matches and entered a third as a reserve, bringing his total to 10 career caps for the U.S. senior squad.
Joining the roster for the knockout rounds are goalkeepers Tim Howard and Jesse Gonzalez, midfielders Michael Bradley and Darlington Nagbe and forwards Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey.
