US Soccer held the Fourth Round draw for the 2018 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup earlier today. With MLS teams entering the competition at this stage, the draw signaled the start of the Chicago Fire’s USOC campaign as they’ll fight once again to win that fifth title.
The Fire were paired off against the Columbus Crew, and will face That Yellow Team at MAPFRE Stadium on Wednesday, June 6th. Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm CT.
Due to regional groupings, the Fire could’ve been paired with Minnesota United or FC Cincinnati, the latter of whom knocked us out of the competition last year.
