Last week MLS released the ballot for the 2017 league MVP Award. The longlist includes Fire marquee players Nemanja Nikolic and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Yesterday, the full list of nominees for MLS’ year-end awards was released, and the Fire are well represented here as well.
Chicago award nominees include:
Landon Donovan Most Valuable Player Award: Nemanja Nikolic, Bastian Schweinsteiger
Newcomer Of The Year Award: Nemanja Nikolic, Bastian Schweinsteiger
Defender Of The Year Award: Johan Kappelhof
MLS Works Humanitarian Of The Year Award: Matt Lampson
Finalists for each award category will be announced on October 31st.
