STATE COLLEGE, Penn. — There was no visible anger, only an air of disappointment.
Questions came and answers followed and no one was much wiser for any of it. Jim Harbaugh had seen what everyone had seen Saturday, when Penn State played buzzsaw in a 42-13 win over Michigan. There was only so much to say. The loss all but ended any meaningful championship hopes for the Wolverines, but, after Saturday, it’s clear those hopes would have ended soon anyway.
The Wolverines’ offense struggled to score points again, but this time their defense didn’t fare much better.
