There were fireworks at the NFL trade deadline, just not out of Detroit. Aside from signing offensive lineman Don Barclay (and releasing Dan Skipper), the Lions stayed put, meaning that Eric Ebron's still a Lion and the rest of the roster will have to be good enough if this team wants a playoff berth.
Three thoughts on the quiet deadline in the Motor City:
1. Ebron is probably going to be a free agent come March.
The Lions wouldn't have minded moving Ebron for the right price, but they never were in the position of being desperate to unload him.
