As I mentioned the other day, the early part of the season is more about looking for what teams are trying and trends in how things are unfolding than it is drawing any firm conclusions about anything. A number of things have caught my eye and, sometimes, caused me to do some digging in the games that I've watched so far. All data is through games played Friday.
The Canucks did a nice job creating a breakout on a defensive zone faceoff win late in their game against Winnipeg. This has to be the sort of thing that gives coaches anxiety.
