Sadly, tonight’s match was more of the same for the Fire on the road this season. After scoring completely against the run of play, the Men in Red became far too complacent to expect anything out of this match. Plus, it doesn’t help that referee Armand Villarreal chose not to utilize VAR after awarding a late penalty. Tonight’s decision for Man of the Match is certainly a difficult one— as no Fire player really impressed— but I’m going to go ahead and pick David Accam. The veteran winger seems to really have bought into the Fire now that the transfer window has closed, and he worked his tail off for 90 minutes.
