The Chicago Red Stars will face off against Kansas City in the third match of the NWSL regular season tonight on the road at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas. The match will kickoff at 7:00 PM CT.
This match will be the second time the Red Stars have faced Kansas City in the last few weeks; the prior occasion was a frustrating 1-1 draw a month ago at SeatGeek Stadium, in which Katie Johnson scored the hosts’ lone goal. Since then, Chicago has had a slow start to the regular season; a crushing 5-0 defeat in Portland was followed by yet another frustrating 0-0 draw, this time in the home opener against Gotham FC.
