The Red Stars are coming off their first win of the season, securing a 2-0 victory in the mid-week match against Kansas City. Goals from Kealia Watt and Makenzy Doniak propelled the Red Stars to that win. Watt, who started on the bench in Kansas City, is expected to start against Houston.
The Houston Dash currently sit in last place in the NWSL regular-season table, with their solitary point in the standings coming in a 2-2 draw with Kansas City.
