The Chicago Red Stars set to open the NWSL Fall Series tomorrow against the Washington Spirit in Virginia (11 a.m. CT, streamed on Twitch), and we finally know who will—and won’t—be on the team.
Most notably: Captain Julie Ertz has opted out of the Fall Series. However, the roster does include fellow USWNT stars Tierna Davidson, Casey Short, Alyssa Naeher and Morgan Gautrat.
With several players on loan around the world at the moment, like Yuki Nagasato (Hayabusa Eleven men’s side), Emily Boyd and Makenzy Doniak (HB Koge, Denmark), Kayla Sharples (Kuopion Palloseura, Finland), Rachel Hill (Linköpings FC, Sweden), and Cassie Miller (Apollon Ladies FC in Cyprus), the Red Stars had to sign some new faces to fill out the team.
