Chicago Fire’s Sept. 29 game vs. NYCFC moved to SeatGeek Stadium

The Chicago Fire’s Sept. 29 match against New York City FC will be played at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, the club announced today.

A scheduling conflict with the Chicago Bears forced the move. The Bears’ lease with Soldier Field gives the team a five-day window before games. The Bears are set to host the Detroit Lions on Oct. 3, which forced the Fire to move the match to Bridgeview.

Because of SeatGeek’s partnership with SeatGeek Stadium, fans who currently have tickets to the match will receive a refund from Ticketmaster today, and will be able to re-purchase tickets through SeatGeek.
