CHICAGO (March 16, 2018) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club signed free agent forward Alan Gordon on Friday. Gordon is guaranteed through the 2018 season.
“Alan’s ability to link with the midfield while under pressure and his prowess in aerial duels are skill sets that we needed to add,” stated Nelson Rodríguez, president and general manager of the Chicago Fire. “Those attributes, combined with his winning mentality and comfort as either a starter or substitute, make him an ideal fit for us this season.”
Gordon most recently spent the 2017 season with the Colorado Rapids, where he scored three goals in 26 league appearances.
