CHICAGO (Jan. 13, 2019) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that the Club has acquired the MLS rights to 23-year-old midfielder Amando Moreno. The Fire acquired Moreno’s rights from the New York Red Bulls during the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, held in Chicago on Jan. 11, in exchange for the No. 32 overall pick.
“Amando is a young player who has already played in more than 50 professional games in both the United States and Mexico,” said Chicago Fire Soccer Club President and General Manager Nelson Rodriguez. “He drives hard to goal, is shifty and has an appetite for hard work.
